    Check your phone

    It must support eSIM and be unlocked. Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock should say “No SIM restrictions”.

    Lets you get text codes, order delivery, and call local shops.

    Buy online from SKT, KT, LG U+ or a trusted reseller. Have your passport ready.

    Scan the QR code from your email: Settings→Cellular→Add eSIM→Use QR Code

    Turn it on when you land

    Use the Korean line for mobile data. If your provider says to, turn on data roaming for that line. Keep your home line on for bank texts, but turn off its roaming.
    Heads up: tourist numbers usually can't pass Korean ID checks (본인인증) in apps. For that, you need an ARC and a phone contract.
